The formulation of the project is intended to provoke forms and surfaces to enclose large volume spaces requiring medium to long spanning structures with high volume environmental control systems as well as small volume spaces requiring short spans and smaller systems. Each of the project briefs is sited nearby so students begin on the land. The deliverables schedule in the syllabus is a project management structure that provokes decisions on a weekly basis with major integrative deliverables due at midterm and the end of the semester.
