trying to get the podcast links to work

Friday, May 30th, 2008

I’m having a hard time getting the podcast links to work. Yahoo hosting hasn’t answered my email question so I’ll try to link the the glass framing podcast here.

Drafts of the history of construction podcasts posted

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

I posted/linked drafts of the 14 podcasts for the history of construction course today. As I look at them they are still really rough, some slides don’t fit the window, the sound quality (recorded in my office) is not nearly as lively as those podcasts recorded in the classroom. But they are here, and after finishing some of the second semester podcasts I can begin the second pass through to improve them.

I also posted some images of the Sturges house in the image library. Having some problems with the login access to them but I’ll get to that.

This is a more low key category. One where miscellaneous thoughts will be posted. Today’s miscellany tries to document fragments from a dream that may have been informed by an earlier conversation. It was a piece of a teaching prep…for a studio.

Each element in your list must be cited for architect or location, year, material, and two sentences explaining what makes this appear on your list and two more sentences explaining why it is listed above the element below, and below the element above.

Back in Virginia today. The trip out west let me see Gehry’s Disney Concert Hall, Schindler’s King’s Road complex and Wright’s Sturges house.
